The "Add Custom Engraving" button will appear on the product page if the Space Pen you've selected is eligible for engraving.


Engraving Appearance

Engraving removes the top layer of the pen’s finish, revealing the metal underneath.

Chrome or brass finishes = subtle engraving

Dark finishes (e.g.: matte black) = higher contrast, more visible engraving


Can I choose a different engraving color?

No. The engraving color depends on the base metal of the pen.

Most of our pens have a brass base, which results in a gold-colored engraving..

Please note: brass may naturally develop a patina over time.

The Clutch, Measure Twice, TLP, and ASGP models have an aluminum base, resulting in a silver-colored engraving.

Engraving in ALL UPPERCASE Letters

Roman and Helvetica are recommended for all-uppercase engraving.

Calligraphic Script and Connecting Script fonts can be difficult to read in all uppercase letters and are not recommended.


Can you engrave symbols or pictures?

We can engrave numbers and the Latin alphabet.
