Original Series
Chrome Plated Astronaut Space Pen. This is the original Fisher Space Pen that was used on the Apollo 7 space mission in 1968 after 2 years of testing by NASA and has been used on all manned space flights since then.
The design and construction of this pen has not changed in 36 years. The pen you buy today is exactly the same as the one taken to the moon in 1969. It is a heavy pen and the weight rests reassuringly in your hand as you write. The AG7 is made from solid brass with an extremely hard Chrome plating. It has a very positive and substantial feeling click mechanism. You press down on the top to extend the refill and press the side button to retract the refill. It's special design assures you that you'll always retract the point before you slide it in your pocket. It's constructed of all brass and steel components of the highest quality and is made in the USA.
All Astronaut Pens are attractively packaged in heavy duty gift boxes with flock lining and come with a pamphlet describing the history of the Fisher Space Pen.
Used on all NASA Apollo and Shuttle missions, ISS International Space Station, Russian Soyuz and MIR space flights, French ARIANE Space Program, Everest North Face Ski Expedition.

I really wish I could give this pen more than 5 stars. I work in EMS and use pens every day in any weather to take down pt. info, vitals, etc. This is bar none the best, smoothest, and most durable pen I have ever used. Every co-worker I have ever let use the pen(only under close supervision) immediately asks where I got the pen and who makes it. The ink cartridge is phenomenal, long life and it will NOT leak. It has gone through the wash at least 7-8 times in the 2 years I have owned it and not a speck of ink has leaked onto my work shirts or other clothes. In fact the pen works as smooth or smoother than it did when new. Also, you do not have to worry about this pen falling out of your pant or shirt pocket, the clip design is outstanding and I hope they never change it. Yes, they are expensive, but I have no problem paying for quality and fisher definitely delivers. I have unintentionally beat the living hell out of my pen and it still functions as crisply as when I first got it. As a previous reviewer said, a little polish and it looks brand new again. The only thing I can come close to recommending as much is the Fisher bullet- the best pocket pen ever created. In summary, I finally found what I was looking for; a high quality, extremely durable writing instrument made in the United States of America. Thank you Fisher for making such a great product.

Saved the Clothes

Bought on a whim and I'm glad I did. Washed and Dryed the pen in the wash in a commercial laundry. The pen came apart and even unscrewed itself entirely I had 3 pieces. It not only didn't leak. It still worked after I had it retrieved from the dryer lint trap. No clothing was damaged and the pen took a licking rather a beating and still worked just like it did before I washed it. I wouldn't want to try this again but other pens self destruct and I have had to buy entire new outfits due to the damage due to leakage. I would like a fatter pen someday - easier to grip.

I love this pen! I own 7 of them, ( AG7, AG7E, AG7-11, AG7-40, and 3 Shuttle series pens. I use my Original AG7 all the time and love it's quality and balance. Best pens I have ever owned.

WOW THIS PEN IS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! AND THE THUNDERBIRD PEN ROCKS TOO! FISHER IS TOP NOTCH QUALITY ALL THE WAY! I REALLY CANNOT BELIEVE THE FINISH ON THESE BEAUTIES!!!! VERY VERY NICE! ANY LITTLE SCRATCHES YOU CAUSE DOWN THE ROAD CAN BE POLISHED OUT WITH A LITTLE MOTHERS MAG POLISH!!! WILL GET THIS CHROME RIGHT BACK TOO BRAND NEW!! I LOVE FISHER SPACE PENS!!!
