Do you offer tours?

We do not offer tours of our factory. We do have a store that is open to the public during business hours.

Do your products carry a guarantee?

All Fisher Space Pens have a Lifetime Guarantee against manufacturing defects.

I lost my spring. Can you send a replacement?

We are unable to send replacement parts such as springs. Pens in need of parts will need to be sent in for repair following the directions in our Lifetime Guarantee.

Will you put a stronger feeling spring in my pen?

No. Because our springs are calibrated to work properly with the internal mechanism of your pen, springs will not be swapped for stronger feeling springs.

Do you offer returns, refunds, or trades?

No. All sales are final.

Can I add to an order I have already placed?

No, an additional separate order will need to be placed to purchase additional items.

How do I get coupons?

Fisher Space Pen coupons are sent occasionally via the Fisher Space Pen Email Newsletter.

No, we're unable to make changes or adjustments to an order once it has been submitted. If the order has not been shipped or engraved it may be canceled and you will need to complete a new order.

Do you offer a military/police/teacher/ discount?

We don't currently offer these discounts; we recommend signing up for the Fisher Space Pen Newsletter to receive offers and news of product launches.

I paid for Express Shipping, why hasn’t my order shipped?

Orders process and ship Monday - Thursday, excluding holidays. Non-engraved orders with express shipping ship the next business day. Engraved orders with express shipping ship within 3 business days.
Orders are processed and shipped in the order they are received.

What should I do if my order hasn't been delivered, or tracking says it was delivered but I can't find it?

You can track your order using the tracking number provided in your shipping email.
In the case of a missed/lost delivery please contact the carrier.
Fisher Space Pen has no control over delivery once your package leaves our factory and assumes no responsibility for loss or theft of packages.

Do you ship overseas?

No. We have a network of International Distributors for international customers.

What was the pen that Neil and Buzz took to space?

The Astronauts on Apollo 11, and on every crewed space mission, used the AG7 Original Astronaut Pen. 

Do all your pens take the same refill?

Almost all our pens take the same Fisher Pressurized Refill (PR).
The Q4 Multi-action Pen uses the Universal Refill and our Infinium Space Pen doesn’t take a refill.

What’s the difference between the PR4 and SPR4?

They’re the same refill. The “S" refers to the blister card packaging.

What are your refill point sizes?

Fine - .9mm
Medium – 1.1mm
Bold – 1.3mm

How long do your PR refills write for?

Fisher Pressurized Refills will write for over 12,000 ft. or approximately 2.5 miles.

How long do your Universal refills write for?

Fisher Universal Refills will write for about 1,200 ft.

What is the shelf life of an unopened refill?

Approximately 100 years

Can I buy a refill anywhere local?

Yes. REI, Office Max, and many other outdoor and tactical shops, space centers, museums and pen specialists carry our (S)PR4 refill.

What refill does my Infinium Space Pen take?

The Infinium Space Pen doesn’t take a refill as the whole pen is filled with ink. If your Infinium should ever run dry of ink, just send it back to us for a fully refilled replacement at no charge.

What refill does my Y2K Space Pen take?

Our PRY2K refill, available in a medium point, black or blue ink.

What’s the difference between Fisher Space Pen and Rite in the Rain pens?

We manufacture and supply pens & refills for Rite in the Rain.
Rite in the Rain refills have a specially formulated ink that performs better on their waterproof paper. The writing isn’t as smooth as our Space Pen refills but has all the same functionalities.

What are your pens made of?

Almost all our pens are made from brass.

What’s the lead content of the brass?

Less than ½ a percent (less than .5%)

What is the copper content of the raw brass?

Copper 85%, zinc 15%

Why is my M4RAW/400RAW turning colors?

The 400-RAW and M4RAW raw brass pens will develop a unique patina in response to the user’s body chemistry and the environment in which the pen is used.

How can I make my raw brass space pen shiny again?

We use BRASSO Metal Polish to clean the raw brass space pens.

Do you have a permanent clip for the Bullets?

No, we don’t make a permanent clip for our Bullet Space Pens.

There's a notch/cut in my bullet's o-ring. Is it damaged?

The notch in the o-ring is intentional. It allows air to move & prevents a vacuum from forming which may prevent the removal of the cap.

Where can I buy replacement o-rings?

Our bullet o-rings are specific to Fisher Space Pens and are not found in retail stores. They may be purchased on our website - O-Rings

Do you make any pencils?

Yes, we offer a mechanical pencil in our Thunderbirds Pen & Pencil Set.

Does the stylus piece in my Q4 work on tablets or other smart devices?

No, it doesn’t. It is one of the older models of styluses and works for PDA and Palm Pilots.

Why don't I see the pen I want on the website?

If the product you are looking for is not found on the website, it is either out of stock or has been discontinued.

What’s the lightest pen you make?

Our lightest pen is the Stowaway Space Pen at .2oz.

Can you engrave symbols or pictures on your pens?

Mechanical engraving includes the Latin alphabet, numbers, & the following characters: ! ? @ / . # $ ' ( ) + , - : ; = & ¿ ¡

What does engraving direction mean?

Engraving is positioned so that it's readable from the writer’s perspective when holding the pen. When you hold the pen to write, with the engraving facing you:

· In your right hand, the engraving starts near the tip and goes up toward the cap.

· In your left hand, the engraving starts near the cap and goes down toward the tip.

Can I get a different color of engraving on my pen?

No, the engraving color depends upon the base metal that the pen is made from. Most our pens are brass and therefore engravings will have a gold color.
Our Clutch, TLP, and ASGP have an aluminum base resulting in a silver-colored engraving.
