The original Bullet Space Pen was conceived in July of 1948, Paul Fisher was soon machining a new pen design shaped from solid aluminum. It became our first Fisher ball point pen, the 400 Bullet Pen, and arguably the most popular pen of the twentieth century. This pen is now all brass with a Rainbow Titanium Nitride finish.
Cited as an outstanding example of industrial art, the classic design of the Fisher Bullet Pen has been exhibited for years in the New York Museum of Modern Art. The Bullet's timeless styling has been the topic of many art books and magazine articles. Often imitated but never duplicated, the Fisher Bullet continues to be our most popular pen.

Here's an open Fisher Bullet Space Pen, ready to write.
The Rainbow Bullet in its case.

I love this pen! I get lots of compliments on it when people see me writing with it and even more when they see how compact it is with the cap in place. ("That's so cute!") I bought this pen several years ago and it's survived the bottom of my bag with keys and coins, it's been used and abused, and yet it still looks and writes as good as new. I've lost this pen on more than one occasion, yet because it's so distinct, people have recognized it as mine and returned it to me. I thought it was pricey at first, but now I consider it well worth the investment!
