S251 - Chrome Cap, Plastic Barrel Cap-O-Matic Space Pen

I write allot and always try and keep a good writing pen but not too expensive. The Fisher Space pen fills the bill way beyond expectations. I bought an extra refill (SPR1B) several months ago anticipating I would need to change the ink cartridge after a few weeks, but the first one is still going. I am now buying them for gifts for family members.

My husband sits in a chaise lounge or recliner while doing all sorts of puzzle. He was always complaining that his darn pen stopped writing. This happened because he was writing with the pen almost up side down. Three years ago, I suggested a Fisher Space Pen as a Christmas gift for him. He LOVED it immediately! He has managed to lose at least two of these pens...somewhere in the house. Sheepishly he asked if he could borrow mine. Luckily, last year I bought extra pens along with a couple of refills. I also love this pen. It has a comfortable grip and the ink flow is consistent. I was given a CH4 - Chrome Plated Shuttle Space Pen as a gift. It is very elegant, but I personally don't like gripping the ribs on the barrel.

More than 30 years ago, I found a black Cap-O-Matic on the floor in high school. I loved that pen. It wrote like a dream, and it seemed like the refills lasted forever. But then I moved several times, and somehow the pen got lost. I searched everywhere for a replacement, but didn't have any luck until about a year ago when I finally found this web site. Now I have two, and I'm shopping for a third. I've never had another pen that I could count on like this one - and occasionally put through the wash without ruining everything in the load! It writes no matter what, and the price is unbeatable. Now I give these pens for birthday and graduation gifts, because I know the kind of quality that's built in. It may seem funny to have such loyalty towards a simple pen, but try one and you'll be hooked, too!
