When closed, Bullet Space Pens are the perfect size to carry in your wallet, pocket, purse, car glove box, organizer or toolbox. When open it's a full sized, evenly balanced writing instrument.
The original Bullet Space Pen was conceived in July of 1948, Paul Fisher was soon machining a new pen design shaped from solid aluminum. It became our first Fisher ball point pen, the 400 Bullet Pen, and arguably the most popular pen of the twentieth century. This pen is now all brass with a black titanium nitride finish.
Cited as an outstanding example of industrial art, the classic design of the Fisher Bullet Pen has been exhibited for years in the New York Museum of Modern Art. The Bullet's timeless styling has been the topic of many art books and magazine articles. Often imitated but never duplicated, the Fisher Bullet continues to be our most popular pen.

Here's an open Fisher Bullet Space Pen, ready to write.

I've owned this pen for over two years (it could be as long as four years, I just can't remember when I bought it). The pen has never let me down. I frequently have to write vertically (against a wall or steel column), jotting downs notes on things I see in the plant.
The Black Titanium Nitride coating has stood up to the abuse of being in the same pocket as my keys and being dropped on concrete and in gravel numerous times. It isn't quite as shiny as it was new, but it still turns heads.
I've liked this pen so much I bought a Matte Black trekker Space Pen today. I still plan on keeping my Bullet Space Pen in my pocket at all times, but the trekker will be conveniently placed on the lanyard I must wear at all times at work.
